There is a process that existing users of our Web Crossing forums must go through in order to activate their accounts on the new forums:
- - Go to http://groups.sonybmg.ca/
- Click “Login” (top right)
- Click “Resend activation e-mail” (underneath the login form)
- Enter your Username and E-mail address (from the old forums--Web Crossing), then click the “Submit” button.
- + If you don’t know this, you cannot use your old username on the new forums!
+ You can find your E-mail address by logging into a Web Crossing forum, click on “Preferences” in the bottom button bar, then click on “Email Address Settings”. Your email address is displayed there.
+ If you get an error saying "The e-mail/username information submitted could not be found.", it is possible that your account was not migrated.
- Inside the message is a link you must click to activate your account.
- Once activated, go back to http://groups.sonybmg.ca/
- Click “Login” (top right)
- Click “I forgot my password” (underneath the login form)
- Enter your Username and E-mail address, then click the “Submit” button.
- Check your email inbox for a message with the subject “New password activation”
- Inside the message is your new password, plus a link you must click to activate your new password.
- Once activated, you can now login to the new forums with your Username and new password.
It is recommended that after users register/activate, they go to the “User Control Panel” (top left) and setup their Profile and Preferences, especially their timezone (located under “Board preferences” -> “Edit global settings”). This would also be a good time to change your password.
Account information that is transferred is limited to username, email address, registration date, and post count. We are looking into the possibility of importing the message archive from the old forums, but cannot make any guarantees as to when this might happen, if at all.
If you have trouble with this, or any transferred information is incorrect, please reply to this post or contact a moderator.
If you cannot login to contact a moderator through the forums, please send an email to the following address:

Include the following information in your message:
- - Username that you are inquiring about
- Email address that you registered with (this must match the username you are inquiring about or your request will be denied)
- Detailed description of the problem
Thanks, and enjoy the new forums!
